Highlights of the 99/00 season:
Getting a place in the squad (a squad number) was , surprisingly enough,
Rob's first achievement of the season. Ruud Gullit didn't give him a
place in the team (absurd!) and only after Bobby Robson was appointed
as manager, Lee got himself a number. Rob proved to be vital last season
and was Bobby's first choice for the midfield.

I think the fact that he had stayed at Newcatsle without even being
